Stefania Russo

Hello Readers! Tonight we are talking with a new artist Stefania Russo. She creates great fantasy artwork. You can visit her website and her deviantart. You can also purchase her PSP tubes at UYA.
Thank you so much for talking with us Stefania.

1) How did you become a part of the psp tube community?
I received time a request from Artistic Dreams Imaging (now I'm no longer available), then from Psp Tube Stop, and now my art is currently licensed under Dreamscape Imaging from few months.
Was a novelty for me, and sounds very nice!

2) What does your artwork mean to you?
I called my style "Illusory Art", due to my constant search for a fantasy world through the visual arts...
And, I admit, cause I really like the meaning of the word "illusory" for various reasons!

3) What inspires you in creating your artwork?
Nature, night, moon, blood and solitude. There are principal fonts of ispiration.
And when i drawing, i love take a look on my bedroom, and put also a little detail i saw, from a flower, to a little statue.... To simply loooking the white paper!

4) How long have you been selling psp tubes?
In truth, i entered in this world from few time. About one/two years.

5) How do you create your artwork? Is it by hand
or digitally? What tools do you use in doing the artwork?
I love Traditional Art... I love dirty my hands with colors and graphite.
I use Mixed Media, from watercolors to colored pencils, from ecoline to glitters.
For me, a white paper and a simply pencil give most ispiration than a screen and mouse. Indeed, i use only digital tools for scan.

6)Aside from psp tubes, what else do you create
with your artwork?
I'm on Zazzle, when i sell prints and gadget like iphone covers and more.
In truth, i'm new with this genre of things, i speak about digital world like Tube and more. But i hope to enter better, one day... As i said, i'ts funny!
With my artwork i made also some exposures at markets on my zone.

7) As you have developed your style and artwork, which artists
have influenced you?
My biggest favourite artists are Gerald Brom and Luis Royo.
I love monster and madness world of Brom, and i continue searching to free my mind and represent my "inner" monster and "weird" world... Altrought, i love pure Beauty of Royo... His sensual woman, his colors...
I like contrast of these artists, and always inspired me!

8) Does the psp community help artists become more well known
with getting their names and artwork more visible?
Copyright and a credit of own artwork. This help me a lot, in my opinion.
I'm an hobbyst artists, altrought i try to enter in professional world, and psp community help me a lot for give me a name, and the things i said.
And it's a good advertisement from other people that make tag art with my works.

9) What do you enjoy the most about being part of the psp community?
I love looking different interpretations of my art from tag art made from people. Maybe i've a my opinion on a work, and then, another person mixed his ideas with different details and give another concept to my artwork.
Art must no be a limitation, and tag art give possibility to free your fantasy!

10) What are some of your favorite art pieces which you have done and why?
Ahhhh... So hard, because my favourite works are really personal! For example, Fanhir::What I've Done, where represented my Original Character.
My favourite pieces is Medousa and Like Du Riechst So Gut (put deviantART link due to Mature Content: ).
I have fear dark piece cannot become Tube Files, but, maybe people will appreciate if i make them available.
For Medousa, is my intepretation of Medusa myth. I like her story full of passion and desperation, and i always love represent she.
Du Riechst So Gut is a mature artwork. Maybe i don't know if can be possibile made it as Tube File.
One day i wake up and say to myself "Ehi, why i have too much fear of represented what i feel? Too much gore? Too much blood?! I cannot be imprisoned in my fantasy". And born Du Riechst So Gut. I think is my best heavy and mature artwork i made. I've my personal intepretation, and altrought picture, you cannot be recognized she kills dove. But she can also try to save dove. So many intepretation!
Another my artwork (available as Tube File), my favourite is Magical Autumn. Was a little ACEO for an art-trade, but i love mood and happyness on this work.

11) Do you prefer tags with your art tubes animated or non animated? Or are both great to you?
As i said, i love free interpretation of tag art.... But i wish to see a my piece in animated tag, because i never look it!

12) Do you do commissions for taggers? How about ideas for tubes which taggers may have?
I truth, i never try it and i was thinking is not possible, ahahah! I drawing for myself, and i never imaged a tagger can request art from me.

13) Is there anything which you don't allow to be done with your artwork? For example mirroring, animation, etc.
As every artists may think: if you respect my art and copyright, you can do everything!
I would be honoured is people is inspired by my art, and someone already use my artwork for an Youtube video. That's very lovely, but, of course, with credits and respect myself as artist.

14) Would you like to receive tags which our readers may do featuring your artwork? We often love to send the artists tags by our members.
Oh, yeah!! Of course!!! I collect all tags with my art who people noticed me on my FB page and personal profile!
So, i will be honoured of this, thanks!
