Tony Tzanoukakis

Tonight we are visited by the sexy pin-up artist Tony Tzanoukakis. You can visit his website and purchase his psp tubes at his store. Tony has become known for his style of pin-ups in the tag community. Thank you so much for talking with us Tony.

1) How did you become a part of the psp tube community?

It was about a year ago,  I saw on facebook some images that were referred as "tags". It struck my curiosity, so I checked it up. I sent an email asking if new artists were wanted.
Luckily for me they were accepting new artists.
Thats how it all started for me and ever since I am drawing pinups as tubes.

2) What does your artwork mean to you?

From when I was young, my dream was always to become an artist.  I always remember myself with a pencil and a piece of paper. Whenever I found spare time, I would draw. Its something  that still  feels so natural. So i will have to say that my artwork is my life! it has always been something that has determined me!

3) What inspires you in creating your artwork?

It’s not something in particular. I may be anywhere or doing something totally else when an idea just pops up. It could be from listening to a song, seeing a beautiful woman walking by or readng a magazine.Ideas come when they are less expected!

4) How long have you been selling psp tubes?

It hasn't been that long, just over a year perhaps that i am drawing and selling tubes.
Hopefully will be continuing doing so for a long time.

5) How do you create your artwork? Is it by hand
or digitally? What tools do you use in doing the artwork?

I always start off all my images with the traditional pencil and paper.
After that they are coloured digitally using photoshop or illustrator for larger images.

6)Aside from psp tubes, what else do you create
with your artwork?

Apart from drawing pinups,  I design commercial products, (business cards, flyers, etc)  tattoos and illustrations for books.

7) As you have developed your style and artwork, which artists
have influenced you?

Many of famous artists have influenced me on my journey so far, like Todd McFarland, Michael turner, Simon bisley and many more. All of them were role models for me growing up. But it all started with my older brother, Steve. He was the one that gave me the urge to start drawing. without him I wouldnt be what I am today!

8) Does the psp community help artists become more well known
with getting their names and artwork more visible?Yes indeed that is very true. Taggers are the main reason we artists are here and do what we do. Without them all of this wouldnt be possible. They make our dream come true!

9) What do you enjoy the most about being part of the psp
community?

Although creating pinups as tubes is very fun in the procedure, my favorite part is seeing what taggers create with that image. They get SO creative many times that I myself am amazed! Ther are times that their ideas are much better than my own!!

Thank you so much for the interest in my work and for this interview!
It means alot to me knowing that people appreciate my artwork!!!
